John has been creating images, whether with a camera or pencil, ink and paper for as long has he can remember and has had extensive published work both as a photographer, graphic artist and designer over the last twenty years.
Recent clients include the Youth Hostel Association (UK), Mitchell accountants, the School of Artisan Food, Destination Chesterfield, D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, SCA (a leading global hygiene and forest products company) Myriad PR, Tingle Marketing and In the Works PR.
Based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, over the past two decades John's commercial photography has focused on public relations work and event coverage, most recently working as the official Destination Chesterfield photographer during the re-branding of Chesterfield as place to 'live, work and play'.
John's kit has moved on somewhat from his first camera (a Kodak Instamatic given to him by his sister) and uses the latest Canon pro gear and lenses although he still likes to dabble with vintage film cameras from time to time.
A love of the local landscape is also evident in John's landscape photography: "I'm lucky in that I live on the doorstep of the Peak District which enables me to get out there as often as possible and see the landscape change throughout the seasons".
